National Women’s Wheelchair Basketball League – Dee Olivier Cup

National Women Wheelchair Basketball League (NWWBL) – Dee Olivier Cup

The Dee Olivier Cup (DOC) was introduced into the WBSA National Calendar in 2011 and is representative of Provincial Women teams playing for the National Championship title.

Each Provincial Women’s team that play in the Summer PCCL, will be represented in the NWWBL. They will play a round robin competition and playoff games over 6 weeks, to be crowned the SA Women’s Champions.

Eight Women Provincial teams compete in the NWWBL. The same regulations and rules apply as played inthe PCCL structures

The League comprises of 80 Provincial Women athletes, 16 Provincial Coaches and 24 technical officials participate in this league

The NWWBL is the precursor to the Vodacom National Women’s Championship and is played over three rounds with the Top 4 Women teams qualifying for the National Women Championships.

The final competition is played as a full round robin, crossovers and classification playoff to determine the two National Champion teams that qualify for the Vodacom Challenge.
