Rammone impresses in 2019
The North West Province have unearthed a young gem in the form of 17 year old Tlamelang School pupil, Bofelo Rammone.
Known to many as “Ronaldo” this quiet yet confident young man from Kuruman, first made himself known when he was selected as a 14 year old member of the South Africa Under 23 team that traveled to Toronto in Canada for the 2017 IWBF U23 Mens World Wheelchair Basketball Championships .
Despite his age he held his own on the global stage, and the U23 Amawheelaboys will be looking to him to spearhead the quest to qualify for the 2021 U23 Men World Championship, through next years qualification tournament.
Rammone is a key player for the North West Province’s U19 Boys and U23 Boys teams and his superb form in 2019 saw him claim both the U19 and U23 National MVP of 2019.
His performances have been consistently impressive during the senior men’s premier league, the Supersport Wheelchair Basketball Series , where he plays for the GBK Mongoose franchise. On more than one occasion, he was named the Supersport Match MVP during the past season.
