At the prize giving Vodacom’s Michelle Van Eyden announced that they had decided to increase the Women’s prize money to be the same as the men’s which was greeted was cheers and shrills and Wheelchair Basketball South Africa are indebted to the support we received form Vodacom.

In the Under 23 Final North West beat the more fancied youngsters from Kwazulu Natal to claim their first Vodacom title.

The defending champion North West Stinging Bees continued their domination of the women domestic game, with a convincing win over the Gauteng Lionessess.

The Men’s final was a an humdinger, with Gauteng making North West sweat all the way to the final buzzer, but in the end their big match temperament saw them claim the 2019 title.
